The Snug

The Specialist Resource Provision or “The Snug”.

Robert Le Kyng School has a Specialist Resource Provision to cater for the needs of up to ten children with physical disabilities.

The children who access the Snug spend most of their time in class with their peers, but the SRP Manager and Special Education Support Assistants support individual needs of pupils.

Pupils may access the curriculum through differentiated work provided by their class teachers. In addition they may receive therapy and specific teaching programmes from the Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Speech Therapist and the SRP Manager.

There is a room which is used for therapy and teaching of specific skills. All pupils placed in the SRP have an Education Health and Care Plan.

Admission to the SRP is decided by the Local Authority and not by the school, but we are happy to welcome parents who wish to review the provision.
