Year 2 had a interesting visit to TESCO supermarket in Swindon. We had a Farm to Fork experience as part of our ‘Happy, Healthy me’ topic.
We got the opportunity to go behind the scenes and see how our food is stored and prepared and a treasure hunt discussing where in the world our food comes from. The children enjoyed holding a variety of fish, learning about how cheese is made, fruit and veg food tasting, visiting the bakery and making our own bread roll. A popular part of the tour was stepping inside the fridge and freezers and experiencing temperatures of -25 degrees.
