I am sure that you have all heard that we are to enter a new national lockdown, which this time includes the closure of primary schools to all children except those considered vulnerable or the children of Key Workers.
As a result of the very short notice for this (we hear about it at the same time as everyone else), I am asking you not to send your children into school tomorrow. I fully understand that this will cause inconvenience for many of you, but must ask you to support us in this so that we can set up Key Worker/Vulnerable provision for Wednesday onwards.
The teachers have already started their planning for home learning and we will post this on the school website/Purple Mash during the morning tomorrow. Please bear with us as it will take a little while to organise and upload. If your child wishes to get on with their learning bright and early, practice of basic skills (eg. times tables, phonics) and reading are always useful.
We will be in contact with you tomorrow to ask whether you consider yourself to be a Key Worker/vulnerable and whether you will need the support of Key Worker school in the coming weeks.
I fully understand that this has happened at very short notice. If you are a critical worker (eg. NHS) and can not possibly cover childcare tomorrow, we may be able to provide a few places for childcare during school hours tomorrow. Please email me personally on firstname.lastname@example.org to let me know if you require this.
We will get more information out to you in the morning, but in the meantime, please do look after yourselves.
