Coronavirus update – 30th March 2020

Thank you for all the support you have been giving us and your children over the last week.

Mr Fannin has uploaded this week’s homework to the website.  You can find it under your child’s year group.  Please do not feel the need to print it all off.  For many of the activities you can read the information on the screen and record the answers onto paper.  The link to the White Rose maths website is particularly useful as there are short videos explaining the maths process behind the question.  Please let us know if you need any help accessing any of the homework.

The Council have been in contact to let us know that they will be supplying supermarket vouchers that we can distribute to families in receipt of benefit based free school meals.  These are likely to be in the form of a £30 voucher to cover 2 weeks of free school meals and will be able to be spent at either Asda, Sainsburys or Morrisons.  More details of this will be sent to you as soon as we have them.

We have been alerted by the DFE that some parents have received an email stating:

‘As schools will be closing, if you’re entitled to free school meals, please send your bank details and we’ll make sure you’re supported’.

This is a scam email – do not respond and delete immediately.

The local authority have been arranging with holiday providers to cover Easter which means that the school will be completely closed over this time.  If you require childcare over the Easter break because you are a key worker or your child is vulnerable, please fill in the attached form which should be emailed to  Currently we have no further information on where this childcare will be based but when we do find out we will let you know.

School will re-open for keyworker children and vulnerable children on Monday 20th April.
